In the optics and photometry laboratory the unit of luminous intensity Candela (cd) is realized. The laboratory consists of the:

- Calibration of light meters and detectors at laser wavelengths
- Calibration of light detectors for spectral responsivity
- Calibration of lamps for spectral irradiance
- Measurement of Luminous Intensity of Tungsten filament lamps
- Calibration of luxmeters and photometers
- Measurement of Luminance of Tungsten filament lamps
- Measurement of chromaticity coordinates and correlated color temperature of sources
